About Me

Hi I’m Monica the face of Fascial Soul, Pilates Instructor, Rossiter Stretching Coach and Neural Reset Therapist but also Wife and Mum of two (not so small) humans, two demanding cats and one very lazy rescued greyhound.

The studio is based is based just outside Diss on the Norfolk/Suffolk border, in a quiet rural setting. When I’m not out walking, either at the beach or in the gorgeous Norfolk countryside, you’ll usually find me in the kitchen because, well, life is better with cake!

I wasn’t always into exercise

I was a seriously uncoordinated child and not a fan of sports, the typical able to fall over my own feet and last to be picked situation.

I originally trained as a radiographer and have worked in the NHS as well as in Australia, a career allowing me to see a wide variety of injuries and illnesses and given me a geeky obsession with anatomy. However, it also led to a back injury that threatened me with spinal surgery. I was determined to avoid surgery and found Pilates and an amazing instructor that got me out of pain and off the surgery list.

Testimonials
I really enjoy my sessions with Monica, I always come out with a spring in my step but feeling like I’ve been worked hard enough too. Monica is not just an amazing Pilates instructor but she is fun to be around and caring too.

Fast forward a few years (2 children and a few house moves) and I had the chance to train as a Pilates instructor. The chance to help other out of pain…yes please!

It was while doing my instructor training that I discovered Rossiter Stretching through another instructor and was hooked. The results were so fast for clients, and they were involved in the change themselves rather than just ‘handing their body over to be fixed’.

Fast forward another couple of years and as much as I love Rossiter Stretching it is not suitable for everybody and as with all therapies not everyone responds to it the same way. I was looking for some thing that would fill that gap, helping more clients in pain get out of pain. I found it in Neural Reset Therapy.

So how does this work for you?

I think Joseph Pilates quote

‘Change happens through movement and movement heals’

sums up my approach the best.

Using my health service experience as a diagnostic radiographer but also my training in  Neural Reset Therapy and Rossiter Stretching Coach and as a Pilates instructor I try to look at you as a whole, not just the bit that hurts. So after filling in a health form, talking over the pain points (quiet literally) and looking at how you move we start work.

Most people have heard of Pilates and it is quite wide spread now. I specialise in private 1:1 Pilates sessions using a variety of studio equipment. This means the sessions are 100% tailored to you and your needs so you get the best results. I love Pilates for how it makes my body feel and keeps the injuries and day-to-day niggles at bay.

Testimonials
Monica is always cheerful, considerate and ready to adapt according to how you are feeling at any given moment. I always leave feeling more mobile than when I arrived.

What most people haven’t heard of is Rossiter Stretching or Neural Reset Therapy (NRT). In a nutshell they are alternative pain relief therapies to help get you out of pain and restore movement.

They work differently from each other and may be suitable for different people and different conditions but the result of alternative pain relief and restored movement is the same.

Both require you to be involved in the treatment although they are not exercise in the traditional sense. They also rely on constant, honest communication between us. I think that is why I love both NRT and Rossiter Stretching They need you to be invested in the session for the best outcome.

Testimonials
Monica is the only person that has treated me in the last 30 years that gets a positive result. Her method is amazing and it simply works. I have and will continue to recommend her services to anyone.

At the end of the day I want you to be able to do what you love, what means the most to you, without being limited by pain.

That’s my goal…Now what’s yours.
